Prickly Pear and ThistlesWhile they obviously represent clearing work ahead, I can't help appreciating the aesthetics these wild things add to our property. Cacti, thistles, junipers or cedars all have a place in the general scheme of things. The trick will be making sure they stay in their places and don't take over.Jun 01, 2010

Post Oak on REAL lot #73We discovered when the survey was done that all the photos I'd taken earlier were actually on the next door lot, #74. This large post oak tree is actually on our lot. The liveoak off to the left rear of the post oak is also on our land. This lot has more trees than the one we originally thought we were buying, so we're not unhappy about the mixup.Jun 01, 2010

Variety of VegetationThis land used to be part of a ranch, as was most of the land around here. There are many kinds of bushes, wild flowers, and cacti as well as limestone (LOTS of limestone) and those big oak trees.May 22, 2010
